Meet New People. Do Cool Things.™
What Does It Do?

Gatherings Turns your Preferences & Proximity Into Invitations and real world engagement.
It takes 3 – Members, Hosts and venues.
Sometimes it best to say what something doesn’t do.
Gatherings does not require you to browse through endless profiles t does not force you to direct-message strangers one by one, AND it does not use ‘likes’ or popularity signals to funnel your attention.
or require that you must pick who to talk to based on a profile picture.
Instead, Members set basic preferences using simple yes/no and selectable options
— then show up and meet people in real life.
What does it do? – The Short Version
Choose what matters to you.
Receive invitations to real-world activities that fit.
RSVP when something sounds good.
Meet new people by actually doing something together.
What does it do? The longer version
Select What Matters.
- interests
- availability
- how far you’re willing to travel
- first and second languages
- accessibility
- food preferences and allergies
- social environment
- pet-friendly preferences
- where you’re starting from, such as home or work
Those choices shape the kinds of Gatherings you may be invited to.
Hosts Curate the Experience
Approved Hosts create Gatherings around things people actually want to do.
They review relevant member preferences and aggregate information to understand what people are interested in, when they’re available and what practical considerations matter.
The Host chooses the activity, location, timing and invitation group.
No automated profiling. No algorithm deciding who you should meet.
The human Host curates the Gathering.
Invitations, Not Endless Browsing
When a Gathering fits your selected preferences, you may receive an invitation.
That could be:
- dinner
- a gallery visit
- live music
- trivia
- a class or workshop
- a walk
- a neighbourhood outing
- a local event
- something completely new
You decide whether you want to go.
There is no expectation that every invitation will appeal to you.
Tokens
When an invitation sounds good, you can RSVP using Gathered Tokens.
Tokens are not money.
They are a participation and commitment tool built around a simple idea:
In a small group, your place matters.
A no-show can change the experience for everyone else, so Tokens encourage a little more intention around RSVPs.
Tokens can be earned through participation and other contributions within Gatherings.
No Swiping. No Cold DMs.
Gatherings is built around doing things together in the real world.
It is not designed around:
- swiping through people
- unsolicited direct messages
- public popularity scores
- endless profile browsing
- automated personality matching
The activity comes first.
Connection grows from actually doing something together.
For Members
Members set preferences, receive invitations and decide which Gatherings they want to attend.
You remain in control of what you select and which invitations you accept.
You do not need to overshare personal information to participate.
For Hosts
Hosts create the experience.
They use member preference information to plan Gatherings that make sense for the people being invited.
Hosts can build activities around food, culture, recreation, learning, local events, neighbourhood activities and more.
For Venue Operators
Venue Operators can confirm venue information, update details and indicate whether Hosts may organize Gatherings at their location.
That connects local businesses, community spaces and experiences with people who are interested in using them.
