Gatherings.social does not present your profile picture for endless swiping.

When you attend a gathering; event, group adventure or happening you will meet others in person. If you’re like me, you may not want to give out your name or cellphone number until you have established more than an initial interest.

So, your membership comes with a unique member ID which you can give out if you choose to. The other member can then enter the ID into the app and you’ll receive a notification that someone is trying to reach you. You would then review the brief profile of that member and accept the connection or not.

Your profile picture and a very limited profile description would then be available to the member to identify who you are as you message.
